A songwriter and singer, Chester Bennington was most notable for being the lead singer in the rock/alternative band, Linkin Park. During his 18 years with Linkin Park, the band experienced tremendous success, including having the most successful debut of the 2000’s in Hybrid Theory, several other Platinum-certified albums, and numerous Top 100 tracks. Outside of his career with Linkin Park, Chester was a member of four different groups, two before joining Linkin Park Sean Dowdell and His Friends? and Grey Daze and two while a member of Linkin Park Dead by Sunrise and Stone Temple Pilots. In news that shocked the music world, Chester Bennington died by suicide on July 20th, 2017.
